Акрил
Acrylic is the name of polymers based on acrylic and methacrylic acids. Many useful things are made from them (fabrics, paints, etc.), and below you will find the description of the sheet material that is used for cladding furniture fronts. In this case, the terms polymethylacrylate or plexiglass may be used. It is a strong, chemically very resistant transparent or coloured polymer.
The GeosIdeal factory produces kitchens with acrylic fronts by Senosan GmbH, Austria, a company that has specialized in the production of decorative surfaces for over 60 years.
The Geosideal collection includes both glossy and matte decors that can be used as the main material for creating a kitchen or complement solid wood / veneer.
The front thickness is 19.5 mm and consists of several layers:
- front layer – Senosan acrylic, 0.6-0.8 mm thick with a protective high-strength coating “Anti-Scratch”, which prevents minor scratches;
- base – high-density MDF board, perfectly polished, that makes the surface of the board as smooth as possible, eliminates the effect of shagreen;
- reverse side – Senosan acrylic, 0.5 mm thick, it prevents warping (bending).
The edging along the perimeter of the facade is carried out using PUR technology, the adhesive is polyurethane, which is characterized by increased resistance to temperature and moisture.
Fronts made of Senosan acrylic from the GeosIdeal factory have a number of advantages that are very important when choosing a kitchen. It is worth paying attention to maximum resistance to minor scratches due to the protective high-strength Anti-Scratch coating and the antibacterial patented surface that prevents accumulation of bacteria on the surface of fronts.

Note: Acrylic fronts are the perfect companion for more textured solid or veneer surfaces. Combined kitchens have been a design trend for the past few years, and this trend is not changing. When choosing between matt or glossy acrylics, we recommend supermatt decors. In addition to decorative functions, they also have properties that are pleasant to use: fingerprints are less visible on them, and the real dirt can be easily removed with soapy water.
